Since we’re sharing a computer it is easier for me (Barb) to post under Doug’s account, so here goes:

Well, two full days under our belts and having a great time.  Yesterday we tried to follow the saying and just go get lost in Venice. I’m sure, if it had been left up to my sense of direction, we would have easily accomplished this.  We wandered up and down, in and out and back and forth.and still at the end of the day (or more like at the end of the late night). we ended up back at our hotel.  Tired but well pleased with our day.  One of the best parts of the day for me was standing on one of the many bridges in Venice holding a picture of Sam and Ruby standing on the exact same spot 2 years ago.  Today we we rode a water bus out to the islands of Murano and Burano.  One is famous for it’s glass artisans and one for it’s lacework. One of these days I’ll get them straight. Lynda and I had a hard time keeping the guys out of all those gift shops but finally we let them buy some things and so they let us rest.  They do have very good taste. Home now and might  take it easier tomorrow.  Sure has been great.
