We left Stanwood last night headed to Vancouver BC after having a “Taco Tuesday send us off to Ireland dinner” at Amigos restaurant. Arriving at the Canadian border, we were
inching along as each car ahead of us took its turn speaking with the border agent. It didn’t take long before the catcalls began raining in on me for apparently choosing the wrong and SLOW line. Not to be outdone, I think I almost had Barb convinced that the Canadians would really appreciate an impromptu test of their border security system and that she should exit the car and take off running to see what would happen. Before Barb could get the back door open to exit the vehicle, Doug finally prevailed on her to remain in the car until after we cleared the actual border area. We arrived at our hotel and everyone made it to bed by 11:00 pm. A 3 a.m. wake up call that came in ten minutes early leaves little time to sleep. We arrived at the Vancouver airport by 4:30 a.m. and cleared security with sufficient time for the quilter in our group to take note of and request a photo of a Vancouver Airport men’s room wall. She said she wanted a picture of it for a “quilt”. Uh huh.
The flight from Vancouver to Los Angeles was quick, quiet and uneventful. We await a 3:50 p.m. British Air flight to London and have been hanging out in the Alaska Airlines Board room enjoying their food and free well drinks. I know, I know….drinking at 10:45 in the morning????? Please understand that we have already switched to Ireland time and in reality its already 6:45 p.m. in Ireland……a perfect time for a well drink.

That would be 1:45 PM here so I am good with beverage start time!
